My brain is a pinker, twistier version of swiss cheese

Because it is shot to pieces. And potentially stabbed by Hailey.

Procrastination somehow inevitably leads to increased reconnection. While I was working at Starbucks last night, I Facebooked Alex Brown about figuring out our semesterly coffee date. I e-mailed Ian last week to congratulate him on UMD (we might end up being classmates! I don't think I can really communicate how tentatively excited this makes me. He's such a cool guy -- ex-Marine who's going back to school, incredibly down-to-earth, etc.). I also e-mailed Kevin Quinn, an alumni one year ahead of me that I met while shadowing a doctor at UMMC (Wendy directed us both to the same doctor), who is also awesome and chill. We've yet to make it to a soccer game together. Or play Frisbee. One day...

Tomorrow, I'm having lunch with Dr. Foxwell's son, who's a high school junior. For reference, Dr. Foxwell is the Dean of Admissions at UMD. He's good friends with Wendy (my pre-med advisor), and his son wants to check out the school, so she arranged for the son and one of his friends who is also visiting tomorrow to have lunch with me, Ian, and two other seniors. Fun times, hopefully. Even though I will be really sleep-deprived and anxiously anticipating my rough night of studying for my Wednesday midterm. Not-so-fun times, maybe.

I promised an article! Now I have two on stand-by. Sadly, the suspense shall continue, because discussing them would require an emotional and time investment greater than I'm willing to commit to at this moment. ATM. KMN. Heh. (I don't mean it, Hailey! Before you stab me again =P)

I'm listening to guilty pleasure music. Mostly because it inspires relatively the highest levels of productivity. Any suggestions for my playlist?

I am home for the night because I have a doctor's appointment at 8:40am, for which I must fast at least 12hrs (it's been 3 so far). If this wasn't gonna be a late night, it wouldn't be a problem at all. It still likely won't be, since sheer inertia will keep me from trudging downstairs to the pantry for a snack. I'm a lazy bum. For once, this will serve me well.
