Happy Pi Day!

Highlight of the day: Pi Day party @ RyLy's house! Got to see RachelK, Albert, and Rohit, too (and I brought Hailey, but I see her all the time, so it's not quite "got to see" with her, lol). Linden! We (really, I) even paid tribute to you! You were there in spirit! Namely because we named our partial-success of a pie Thor the Mountainous Pie Ingredients of Fruit (formerly known as Thor the Mountainous Pie of Fruit, until we took it out of the oven and realized it wasn't quite solid and put-together enough to qualify as a pie). We also made an attempt at deep dish pizza, which apparently was more of a success than last year (positive progress! Yes, Rachel =P), but still a little soupy, likely because we used tomato sauce instead of diced/crushed tomatoes for the sauce. Next year, it will be perfect! Clearly.

I may post pictures at some point, once I get some from Rachel and Albert, but if you're fbk friends w/ Rachel, you can check 'em out yourself. Especially Thor, who is quite impressive, if a partial failure. But then he is also a partial success!

I was actually productive today (*gasp!*) and worked on Gemstone stuff, much to my chagrin. I have no idea if we will ever finish this project, since John is forever flying to far-off places and very few other people on our team have motivation and inclination and drive and all those other nice little adjectives that are necessary to eventual results and completion and all that jazz. I almost typed "all that nonsense," because yes, this is all starting to feel like nonsense. Sad, considering it's been our baby for nigh on three years now. (I've always wanted to slip that in casually -- "nigh on...").

I am now happily situated in my bed, about to go to sleep. ("Before midnight?!" they exclaim. "Why yes!" she proclaims.). It's been a fun and tiring day, and my body is still taxing me for residual sleep debt. With interest. Body, you are a certified brat. A brat, I say!
