- For the two weeks leading up to it until Wednesday night, I averaged 3-4hrs of sleep/night. NOT FUN. I also picked up a bonafide caffeine addiction, and have been detoxing since Thursday. It has been unpleasant. I hate headaches.
- On the bright side, pre-break hell is OVER. Why, you ask? Um, because it is SPRING BREAK!!!
- I had exams Monday and Wednesday. Di and I pwned the Monday exam with 100 percents! Score one. I'm 100 percent (ha ha) certain I didn't do as well on the second, because I made a stupid mistake that cascaded and can only hope my professor takes mercy on me. Worst-case scenario: 80 percent, I think? Provided I did everything else right. So it's not the end of the world, except that these are the only midterms in their respective classes. Crossing my fingers..
- I slept a lot post-Wednesday!
- Fun times at Marathon Deli w/ TQ, Erik, and Hailey
- Watched Monty Python last night/this morning with Hailey. It was as hilarious and weird as I remembered it being.
- Saw my sister playing as part of the drumline/band at the high school state basketball championship game -- Springbrook won! Though high school basketball isn't nearly as much fun as college bball. And Springbrook was taking a lot of stupid shots, but my sister keeps telling me this is unusual and I should've seen the semifinal game when they were playing perfectly. I'll take her word for it... ;)
- Hilarious conversation with RachelK, potentially earlier in the week? Time is all a blur to me now. Quotes on her LJ, for the privileged =P It has inspired an addition to my grand plans: To be followed forever and everywhere in my life by Rachel and remain eternally quotable, and thereby be constantly quoted by Rachel, and get in trouble a lot for it. Reminiscent of senior year w/ Ms Ivey -- oh how I do not miss her. Fun times =D
I... can't think straight. I'm sure there were more highlights, but this is all I can come up with for now. You will deal with it!
Linden is back in town tomorrow! Err, today, since it is Sunday. Also, we are about to lose an hour. NOOOOO I WEEP FOR YOU. SO MANY TEARS. Losing time, such a drag.
Some tentative and not-so-tentative break plans include (again, in no particular order):
- Hiking with Linden!
- Movie+pizza night with Linden!
- Go-go show in Georgetown with assorted Blair folk? We'll see.
- Pi day party at Ryan's house!
- Gemstone -- ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
- Clearing out papers lingering from 7th grade
- Maybe starting on a music video project
- Organize my music
- AinW on Tuesday w/ Hailey, Dinesh, other people (?)
- Catch up on school work -- ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
- Med school-related paperwork -- yayyyyy for residual excitement!
I feel like when I thought of making the list, I had other things to include on it. All of which promptly fled my mind. As if they were being chased by speeding bullets! Which immediately prompts an urgent question -- why is one of Superman's taglines, "Faster than a speeding bullet!"? I guess technically bullets are decelerating, but only after an initial period of acceleration, and different guns fire bullets at different velocities, so even gun A could fire a bullet which travels faster than gun B's bullet. Therefore, it would also be faster than a speeding bullet. This statement suddenly seems inconsequential and un-awe-inspiring.
Did I just kill people's childhood with my 1am (soon-to-be 2am! ish. Time/mind-warp! AAHHH!) confused ramblings? I will shut up now and go to sleep. Blame this on Linden, my default fall-girl ;)
I leave you with a nugget of eternal wisdom from Sir Bedevere, the cleverest of all King Arthur's knights:
Sir Bedevere: ...and that, my liege, is how we know the Earth to be banana-shaped.
King Arthur: This new learning amazes me, Sir Bedevere! Explain again how sheep's bladder may be employed to prevent earthquakes.
AHHH LINDEN IT'S MORE SHEEP.
