Me, end of May

Status of ET's Life
5/26/10
(yes, it's still the 26th, because we are still running on college time and will be for the next four years so there =P)

- Blogging: I am now only one post behind, woot!
- Criminal Minds: I am now only 6 episodes behind L (as opposed to 10-12...)
- Socializing: Went to Cici's with Shrimp, Shweta, and Yiran today -- fun times catching up! I haven't seen or talked to both of them in such a long time. And Yiran's sporting a rocking new hairdo!
- Unpacking: Clothes, done. Snack bag, done. Five and a half other bags plus a box full of books, ...let's not talk about that.
- Reading: Progress is being made! Granted, I'm rereading a series I read back in middle school, but it still totally counts (The Belgariad, by David Eddings -- who I just found out on Monday died last summer! What?!). Finished Pawn of Prophecy yesterday, am currently halfway through Queen of Sorcery and likely will stay awake until I finish that, too.
- Loose ends: Visited UMCP on Tuesday. Gemstone forms signed, check. Hung out with HPAO staff, check. Got my Honors mug, check. Creamed Dean at foosball, check. Hilarious/cool conversation in the process, check. Lunch out w/ the gang, check. Stomach ache, check (ouch).
- Family: BBQ on Sunday w/ the aunts, uncles, and cousins = fun times :) Also have gotten to spend more time hanging out with my parents (especially my mom) and my sister. Sometimes I really miss being home.

I...think that about covers it for now. I'm avoiding the heavier topics because they require too much time and effort and thought and honestly? I'm shying away from it right now.

THOUGH. Varun and I covered a whole host of topics during our car ride to Cici's and back today (and some were covered w/ Yiran and Shweta @ Cici's). For example:
- I have known my high school friends for nearly a decade now. Isn't that crazy?! A DECADE. Damn.
- Shweta claims we are not old because "we are hot and financially independent." I strongly question his reasoning. His determination for being hot = being wrinkle-less. Even more questionable. Shweta is just overall questionable.
- We were talking about where we want to settle down for the rest of our lives. Granted, I've effectively postponed that decision for another 7-10 years, but most of the people I know haven't, so that was weird food for thought (and still is). I'm still pondering it, in fact. And have no idea at all.
- We're essentially setting the paths for the rest of our lives, to varying degrees. How crazy is this?!

There were others, I'm pretty sure, but that's all I can recall at will right now. I welcome other [un]related insights and commentary, both serious and completely not!
