Travel!

The countdown is almost over! We head out for the airport in 2.5 hours (3:30pm); flight's at 7pm. Yay!

I haven't gone to India w/ my family (parents + sister) in five years =O I went by myself three years ago for ~2 months, but it ended up being kind of boring. Yes, I was 18, but I was surrounded by extended family who didn't think I could survive leaving the house by myself. But, I mean, it's not even like I don't speak the language -- I do! Reasonably well, too, with a fairly native accent, thanks to my grandparents. Since my parents didn't come with, though, they all felt even more responsible for my well-being, which kept me kind of chained down.

This time, though, since my parents are going, we get to travel and do all kinds of fun stuff. AND we get to stop in London on our way back =D I'm really looking forward to it. I have my own camera now, too, so I'll be taking a crap-ton of pictures.

I'll be back August 23rd, a whole month later. Thankfully, I'll still have sporadic internet access -- kind of necessary w/ the whole application process going on. *sigh* At least it means I'll occasionally be able to tune in to the rest of the world.
